BAYO'S "WHAT'S YOUR MIX?" CAMPAIGN AND BAYO'S OFFICIAL STATEMENT

So much have been heard the past weeks about
Bayo's "What's Your Mix?" Campaign, needless to say,
it earned the ire and irks of various Filipino netizens.

Most, if not all, of the feedbacks relay these idea :
* That it promotes "racism".
* How in the world they get such and such percentage of race.
* That to be beautiful one has a mix of breed.

I totally respect their ideas and I don't want to blast another hate fires here
because I believe BAYO, being a 100% Filipino brand,
would never promote these negative campaigns.

After all has been said and done - I think it's a case of a mixed signal gone bad.
Or at least in the sight of the beholders (consumers).
BAYO has released their official statement.

Excerpt reads:

"We, at BAYO, deeply apologize for the message our campaign — “What’s Your Mix?” — has unintentionally conveyed. We would like to express our regrets to those who have been offended or felt discriminated against."

To view BAYO's COMPLETE OFFICIAL STATEMENT, read on:

Dear Bayo,

Despite everything, I want you to know that things like this happens. Some message go misinterpreted. Or maybe the mass is not yet ready for the idea.

Whatever it is - please know that there are still lots of girls wanting to wear your brand.
Because your styles are classic. And most of all - you are 100% Filipino.

Love,
CMK ♥
