GOLDEN FABOLOUS COCO MILK HOT OIL TREATMENT REVIEW

They say the feeling of finishing something is better than beginning the same. That's what I felt when I finally emptied the first tub of our product for today. I like trying new things, and the risk that comes along with it is the hit-and-miss part. I'm in the mood to test a new DIY hot oil product as I had my hair colored the past week. Tell you what, I'm on the verge of having my hair color darker in time for fall/winter season, but the little miss sunshine in me won again. So yes, it's still a beaming brown this time.

When I walk past the beauty department of SM, I spotted this one. I thought this was the conditioner my aunt uses way back '90s, it was too late when I recalled the name. The name of the classic conditioner is Swallow. Going back, I saw that this 150 gram tub retails for Php 99.00, but now it's on a buy-one-take-one promo.

CMK HAPPY THOUGHTS:
My hair feels softer after lathering a generous amount of this. I like that it's fairly easy to rinse and I didn't have any massive hair fall whenever I use this. It's also practical, obviously, because a tub costs only Php 50 and it can last for a week or so. It's perfect for everyday use if you want to give your mane some TLC.

CMK WISHFUL THOUGHTS:
It doesn't deliver the hot oil finish I'm craving to have. The consistency is somehow watery and I doubt if there's a coconut element on the product for real. Sadly, the overall packaging doesn't help too. For one, they spelled "Fabolous" as Fabolouz (seriously?!). I also felt the need to reinforce the treatment with Dove Nourishing Oil Care (Review HERE) to compensate its lack of softening agent.

CMK THINKS:
Honestly, I think this is more of a miss rather than a hit. I don't recommend it to you readers since I reckon you'd be better off with our trusted drug store brands like Cream Silk or Dove. On a lighter note, it doesn't cost much so no harm done. Lastly, I only have one last tub to use and after that, off to the next hair adventure! -CMK
