This is probably my most random trip this year. It's a solo trip with a short notice. Believe it or not, it's a business trip. As I type this post, I'm reclining on my bed whilst watching the sunset. After office, I've had an hour long walk along the coast. Took a shower then had my seafood & chips dinner and coffee panna cota (it's one of the last pictures on this post). My heart is overwhleming with gratitude because of so many things and people in my life. Life is good. And I see to it that I breathe in and savour this truth whenever I can.
When my boss told me that I'm going to Guernsey, I thought he said Jersey. But Guernsey exists. It's one of the channel islands and it is beautiful beyond words. Living most of my life in a country with 7,107 islands, this scenery is not my first time. However, as soon as I felt the gentle breeze with sand on my feet and mild sun rays on my cheek, I remember how it feels to live in sunshine once again.
As I stroll through the long stretch of the beach, I dipped my foot into the water. It doesn't take long for me to realise it was so cold! I can't imagine how some people can dip themselves into this ice water! 😬
There are people around the area but it is far from crowded. And that's a good thing.
I was at Jersey yesterday, Guernsey today and back to London tomorrow. Though being a consultant can be quite hectic, I find it a blessing that my client is so nice and very open to changes. They are very accommodating and made me feel at home. Having said that, I really enjoyed my stay here in Guernsey albeit brief but I'm equally excited to go back to London. What's your most random trip ever? -CMK
