WHAT IS IN MY MAKE UP VANITY 2017

I made a conscious effort to only buy makeup if I need one. Need meaning I ran out of it. To my surprise, I don't find it difficult these days. Why? One word. FOCUS. I get busy trying out different things that my attention has shifted from being a consumer to experimenter (I made that word up, btw). I keep in touch with friends, do DIY's, concoct new recipes and go out for a walk and look at all the colourful leaves. I realised life is too short to just watch videos and buy stuff. There are so many things to try and experiences to savour. I still like buying things but it's not my main thing anymore. What's surreal is... now that I buy one thing at a time, I tend to appreciate my possessions better. I also go for quality rather than quantity.

NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser in Oculus
L'OREAL PARIS Brow Artiste Shaper in Medium
URBAN DECAY Naked 2 Palette
URBAN DECAY Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer in Medium Light Neutral
MAX FACTOR Creme Puff Blusher
NARS Laguna Bronzer
MAC Mineralise Skin Finish in Soft & Gentle
CHARLOTTE TILBURY Matte Revolution Lipstick in Amazing Grace
URBAN DECAY TRAVEL-SIZE DE-SLICK Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray

The most recent addition is my Charlotte Tilbury lipstick (£24). It's not cheap but since I buy one lipstick a year, I'm okay with the tag. It's a quality brand and you can tell as soon as you glide the tube on your lips. It's matte but not drying. It's your perfect coral slash pink shade. At first, I didn't fancy the colour much but it has grown on me. I'm not applying makeups every single day but I find these my feel-good stash on days that I don't feel like getting up. I definitely agree that makeup brings out the beauty of a woman but equally, I know for sure that this is just one of the many things empowered women can offer to the world! -CMK
