Of course, many women resort to the safe, and admittedly stylish option of picking a plain black bag, as this will match most pieces. However, only choosing plain black bags can get very dull, and just as other accessories do, your bags should be adding character, texture and depth to your outfits. That is why even if you have to have one black handbag you should also invest in a few others as well. Pick one in the same shade or a tone that is slightly darker than the accent color in your capsule wardrobe, as this will look great with your more colorful pieces, and also jazz up an otherwise boring outfit. Lastly, don't forget that you will need a decent evening bag as well. Here you really are going for impact, so pick a color that boldly contrasts with the pieces you are going to be wearing it with. Don't limit yourself just to necklaces and bracelets either, as you can get some fantastic body jewelry now too, all at a very reasonable price. This being an item that can be used to easily add extra interest and drama to an otherwise basic outfit,  thus making it a perfect choice for someone with a capsule wardrobe.

Shoes are a crucial part of any outfit, but when shopping for footwear that match with a capsule wardrobe, you need to remember one thing, try them on at home with all of your options! After all, there is no point investing in some killer heels that look fabulous with one skirt but can't be worn with any of your pants or jeans! Now I'm not saying every pair has to match every single outfit you have but to accessorize your capsule wardrobe effectively you really will want to have the least amount of pairs to go with the most outfits!
