It has been a little over a year since I moved into my current flat and I am still loving it! My mum and dad visited us last June and they loved it as well. Living in central London and not being stressed over your landlord is a real blessing and (if I may add) very rare to come by. I'm so happy to call UNCLE (name of the building) my home. It's a tall, slender yellow and grey building planted in between Kennington and Elephant & Castle. This is a huge plus since Mercato Metropolitano is literally a walking distance away. It's a buzzing, vibrant place that has all type of food you can think of (from Thai, Italian, American, Mexican, Lebanese cuisine... you should go there at least once).
Ah, before I forget, the flat shots!
To be honest, nothing much has changed from last year (HERE) except that we moved our sofa in a more practical position (lol). I like how minimalistic our flat is with wooden furnitures all through out. We don't have a television but we do have a projector. The black and white photo is from our first Paris trip last 2016. I make it a point to get fresh flowers whenever I can. We are thinking of buying a big pot of plant as well. We have a standing desk and that's probably the most expensive furniture we got since we ordered and shipped it from Belgium. Kitchen is smaller from my previous flat but it's a tiny compromise compared to the many good things this flat has to offer.
We planted mint and basil months ago but I'm sad to report that they're hanging on for dear life as of this writing. I made a fish curry and that's what on top of the hob. We're trying to juice (masticating juicer below) at least once a week and our recent favourite is mean green concoction. It's black kale, ginger, a little bit of carrots and lemon. It's not the most pleasant in terms of taste but it's such a nutrient dense power juice which is very good for the skin and body overall. I made a little nook (see the last shot) where I sometimes read my favourite printed magazine while eating something naughty. I'll be the first to admit that my flat is my favourite place to chill. It's true what they say, home is where the heart is. -CMK
