WHAT DO I THINK OF 'MY JOHN LEWIS BEAUTY WEEKEND' EVENT?

was watching BBC's The Capture one cosy evening while browsing on my phone in between when a John Lewis (JL) campaign pops over my feed. I follow commercial social media accounts very sparingly but John Lewis is one of the fews I like. This year, JL launched an event called MY BEAUTY WEEKEND. This runs from 4th (Friday) to 6th (Sunday) of October. I am in dire need of a break so I decided to book a half day leave today (Friday) and go to one of their events. This is not a sponsored post, by the way.

JL Oxford Street, Charlotte Tilbury (CT) master class was already fully booked so I opted to go to JL Westfield Stratford. Travel was longer but still, 30 minutes by Jubilee tube line is not too bad. Upon arrival, they offered me a Prosecco but I don't drink so I asked for a still water instead. The event is basically a make-up tutorial by Charlotte Tilbury Pro Artist Alesandra Macsim. I decided to leave earlier knowing that CT till will be crowded if I waited until the end (since everyone will rush after the talk).

What's the deal? There's a £40.00 fee for a goody bag + £20 redeemable against a beauty purchase from the hosting brand + the beauty class itself. NOTE: The Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter and Matte Revolution lipstick is NOT part of the loot bag. I purchased them separately.

What's the verdict? I think it's a good deal overall especially with the £20 redeemable voucher. I have been planning to purchase some makeup from CT anyway so the goody bag and beauty class are just added bonus. FYI that on top of the voucher, JL offers 15% off your purchases so that's really a steal IF you are planning to purchase make up anyway. I won't lie, if CT class is sold out, I wouldn't have availed. I hope this helps! Happy, beautiful weekend. -CMK
